We stayed at a reasonably priced ski condo in Jackson
in September. Beautiful, relaxing hikes to Jenny Lake/Cascade Canyon, Phelps Lake and other destinations. Snowed our last day there.

Great hitchiking assisted backcountry snowboarding. Jackson Hole resort is also very nice when there is good snow.

So this was another place that I used to visit a lot as a kid and it’s grown and changed a lot over the years, although it’s been able to maintain that cowboy vibe that was always there while I was a kid. It would be cool to check it out again, as well as hit the mtn for some pow!

Too many people on very tiny narrow streets. Rude people in the stores. Bad overall experience. Even the ducks were mean (see photo)
Beautiful scenery and outside the city you are better off. I won’t go back.

Jackson Hole Wyoming is one of the places I visited a long time ago on a girl scout trip at the age of 15. It was awesome and reaffirmed the love that I have for nature. I want to go back out west some day and take my husband and kids.

I was there as a child, but I know it’s changed so much since then. And I’ve changed so much. I want to see it with new (adult??) eyes. Oh, heck—I just want to see it again!

As far as we could tell, there is only one restaurant both reasonably priced and good: a pizza place on the western edge of town, south side of the main east/west road, with picnic tables outside and a pesto and chicken pizza that I still crave to this day. (The lack of decent eating out was rather mysterious, seeing as how people do actually live there and must therefore need sustenance at some point.)
