Telluride

Stay in Rico…its much cheaper and only about a 1/2 hour drive from the slopes. Plus there is an awesome B&B in town called the Rico Hotel and Mountain Lodge. One of the cutest places ive stayed, lots of character and GREAT food!!!

to attend the film festival

Currently on day 2 of 6 in Telluride and loving every minute. Of course, we skied all day and then slept all evening the first day, but tonight we are set to go out.

Before my kids were born, my wife and I used to escape to telluride for a long weekend once a year. Usually for Telluride Mountain Film Festival. I also did I bike tour “hut” trip from here to MOAB. It was awsome, 10 days ridding through some of the best scenery.

I’m going to Telluride! I’m going to Telluride! I’m going to Telluride!

So far, my favorite ski bum town. I fucking loved this place.

Telluride, CO is a place of magic. If you’ve ever read any Carlos Castenada, you’ve heard Don Juan make reference to “places of power”. Telluride is one of those places for me. Where else are you going to wake up in your tent after a morning of rain and open the fly only to see 3 rainbows stretching ridge to ridge going up the canyon.

someday I will attend a wedding at the Peaks. Blues and Brews is awesome. Shopping is fantastic, food divine…

I haven’t been to Telluride in several years. I did live here once before and attended the local high school in my freshman year. It was a great experience. I look forward to seeing it again one day.
