Cannes

Check out the beach on that one! Its spectacular. And the shopping through all the little market stalls is fantastic. This is an awesome place to visit and if you can get there during the film festival, so much the better.

Lived here for a semester. Favorite thing to do was float on the sea at night!

I stayed there for the last 3 weeks of May 2002 while doing an internship for the Cannes Film Festival. It’s very exciting, all hustle and bustle during the festival. Great lasagne in some of the places! Gained 5 lbs because of it. Go there and definitely rent a vespa, it is such a thrilling experience to riding along the beach at 45mph on those things! I squealed in absolute bliss most of the time! And if you go down the coast, more south, it gets more and more gorgeous! Also, the locals were very generous and helpful. Had a great time!! Absolutely.

Anyone has been there? What is your opinion about this place? How long’s the way from there to the beach?

Unless you’re hitting their famous film festival, I find that Cannes is Los Angeles in France – and just as worthless a place to visit.

Marseilles, Nice, these are all better choices.

I mean, I’m in the film biz (or at least I hope to be, for now I’m in the film life.) This is Mecca, Las Vegas and spring break rolled into one for the film set.
