It’s a little surreal and very vibrant. It’s not a place for deep, reflective travel. It’s full of beautiful people, great food, and bad service :D If you go looking for flaws, you’ll find them. If you go looking for beauty and fun, you find that, too. (That’s actually my philosophy for all travel, though.)

I was so impressed by all the Art Deco! Way cool.

never been in saltwater and I was too chicken after a friend told me some jellyfish horror stories.. I was even afraid to be on the sand there. hahahaha! Silly me. Next time I will go in!

I visit South Beach every July. The nightlife is unbelievable.

This was surprising: as old as the buildings in the area are, probably all the more reason why there are still rennovations going on. Especially on the streets perpendicular to Ocean, Collins, and Washington – construction men are busy at work.

I believe I heard that in the 20s, the hotels were built and popular. During World War 2, South Beach hotels were used to house soldiers and train them. Until the 70s, it became a retirement community where seniors would sit on the front porch of hotels. Now the hotels have been restored to their splendour.

There was a Beach TV channel that talked about various restaurants in South Beach. I felt like it was a cruise boat channel.

Love this place. Amazing. Totally love the scenery and the nightlife.

Very interesting place. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed many nights at the clubs, the restaurants and stores. Definetly a place to see at least once.
