Piazza San Marco

I love Venice and I love Piazza San Marco too!
I hate pigeons, though.
Anyway, I think it is great to see it in the night or, better, when there is “Acqua Alta” that means when water is on an upper level :)

Great spot for people watching – if you don’t mind the tons of pigeons. And of course there is always the beautiful basilica to look at!

Get to the Piazza San Marco very early if you want to go into the cathedral, or else the lines are terrible.

This is my most favorite place in the world!! Especially in the evenings when the light hits St. Mark’s Basilica just right and the orchestras are taking turns playing while couples, young and old, are inspired to get up and dance. Get a glass of wine or a gelato and just sit and people-watch…..aaaah!

a bird crapped on my head. other than that, this place was quite nice. however, don’t pay the 2 euros to see the gold-plated thing in the back. i laughed about it, but was pretty pissed.

So…many…pigeons. I couldn’t believe how many pigeons there are here. Everyone was running after them, scaring them away, girls were screaming because they were scared of the pigeons, good times.

I spent the night here New Years 1999! The locals never heard of firework safty.

Beautiful!! Will go again!!
