The last time I went to this place

The last time I went to the Alibi Room was the night before the night before my wedding. We had a cocktail party and when that was over, we all went to the alibi room for beer and their extra fabulous mac & cheese.

Hidden treasure!

One of my favorite Seattle evenings was at the Alibi Room! Great service, great food and an spectacular view. You feel a little like a mobster entering from the alley, so don’t be fooled!

I love the hideaway feeling of this place. It’s dark, (formerly) smoky, and has a view. Excellent food too.

But, I need to go back...

I had some time downtown last week before meeting my friends for a movie, so I ducked in the Alibi for a cocktail and to check it out after all the rave reviews.
I think I may have gotten there before the bartender, and the server was pouring the drinks, because my cosmo left something, AKA liquor, to be desired. All the mixing in the shaker looked fine, but then she poured a bunch of cranberry juice right into the glass, making it much closer to a vodka cran than a cosmo.
But, I’m not ready to give up yet, I’ll be back.

One of my favorite places in Seattle.

I would like to live here. It has the right atmosphere, the walls and floor and ceiling are all aesthetically pleasing, it’s just dark and old enough, and there’s a dancefloor downstairs! Most importantly, having a fully stocked bar and a bartender is something I’ve always wanted in my home.

Until I move in permanently, I satiate myself with weekly visits. One other good thing about this place is its breakfasts. The place is empty on Sunday mornings—not many people know about its deliciousness.

Cool Seattle staple

Go here, get a drink, listen to people spinning records, order some hummus and feel like a Seattle hipster. Plus, the view is great. The gum wall outside the front door I find odd.
