Banff

I went to my first bar in Banff.

I ended up there after getting lost on my way to Calgary.

Beautiful!

Great view from the top of Mount Sulphur. Best to go up when there are not too mnay clouds. Brings warm clothes even in the summer, it is way cooler up there!

I went therer when I was 7, we were touring around the rockies in a camper van, and it is the most exquiaet place i have ever beeen in my life. The perfectly snowcapped mountains with luscious green trees, the deep blue lakes, the bears roaming on the mountains.
I have bee nther since and each time it has got better and better, but when ever i think of banff vancouver area, i always think of that perfect first trip.

Good place to shop and ski. They say that banff springs hotel is haunted.

Got married in Banff. Had a beautiful wedding. Too bad the in-laws were there to spoil it.

The last time I went here two years ago on a school camping trip.
Coming from Calgary on a school bus with a bunch of jr.high, ride was rather long, but still very pretty. Once we has gotten out of the city, the rolling foothill farms seemed to go on forever. Slowly but surely the mountains I see everyday creeped closer and closer. It rained the first night, dampening our camp fires, but not the ones in our souls (lol cliched but true). We hiked down from our site into town and spent the morning and afternoon wandering through this seemingly simple town. Not many people realize that once you get past the tourist shops, there are tons of clubs and fine eateries hidden in little nooks and crannies.

In the afternoon, we pushed up the long road to the Banff Hot Springs and Spa-which was a great relief. Just to swim in soothing mineral waters while being surrounded by giant ancient stones is wonderful.

When we got back we played the usual camp games and were left to make our own suppers and just to wander close to camp. As the sun sets in the glimmering Rockies, one feels so small in the universe. The stars, blocked by the ignorant city lights come out in the uncountable millions and the trees bristle with intelligence, large and looming. The mountains enclose all of this around you, and nothing else seems to matter.

It’s a beautiful place to be, and please leave it as you found it.

This place was really cool, the sights are absolutely majestic, and when you look at the town of Banff from on top of the mountain, you really do get the feeling of how small the world is. It is not awfully expensive to visit Banff either, I would recommend it if you live within 10 hours of driving distance away!

The town of Banff is a beautiful snow village surrounded by huge mountains. While I was there I’d often stop walking to just gawk at the amazing view. The main street Banff Avenue is where most of the shops and restaurants are located.

so beautyful the mountians are amazing and the colors of the lakes and rivers are awesome a meal is way overpriced but if you want some unforgettable scenery and pictures not to mention OODDLES of wild life everywhere this realyy is a great place to be. P.S there are alot of people who know how to party in that town.
