...I was amazed by the amount of photo opps. I’ve never come across such a photogenic town. Every turn you take you’re assaulted by a church, cathedral, aqueduct, plaza, or you’re your typical, run-of-the-mill castle! It’s situated on a rather small, triangular shaped bluff, which makes it a perfect place to explore entirely on foot. In fact, I highly suggest this form of transportation. I actually tried to drive around in Old Segovia and to say the streets are narrow is an understatement, even by European standards!
You won’t need much in the way of suggestions on things to see, since you’ll, if you’re even the slightest bit adventurous, will end up coming across most major sites by default. If you don’t want to miss anything (like me) visit the TI (Tourist Information) office near the aqueducts. Also, don’t be afraid to venture off the bluff into the surrounding countryside – you’ll treat yourself to some stunning views of the Alcazar. Also, you’ll need to if you want to visit the Knights of the Templar hall.
