Yosemite National Park

I passed through on my way elsewhere and hiked a bit – didn’t even have time to check out any of the falls – and even that brief glimpse was breathtaking. Yosemite is absolutely beautiful, none of the descriptions people give are exaggerations.

Go so some hiking in the area, and see the giant sequoias. Beautiful place!

I was lucky enough to have been born in Yosemite and raised in nearby Mariposa. I have so many wonderful memories of camping, fishing, hiking,skiing and just general outdoor experiences. If you need to re-focus or just get away from busy living… you have to see Yosemite. I always had such an euphoric peacefulness whenever I entered the park, especially the High Sierras… it is too unbelievable to miss!! Support the small town of Mariposa on your way through as the people who live there are special people… they will give you the shirt off their backs if you need it. Down to earth and willing to help!

I’ve heard it’s life-changing, even causing people to suddenly quit smoking. Anything that beautiful is worth a visit.

I’ve ever camped…I’d love to take my family back one day. The drive was long and boring for me as a youngster. But being there was amazing and the hike up half dome blew me away even as a teenager I knew it was beautiful and something I should be thankful for!

While I’ve not been to every national park yet… This one continues to be my favorite. Just something about the valley, the forest, and the geology that lowers my jaw everytime.

go biking, hiking, photag crazy with the wilderness…but BEWARE! That isn’t Yogi bear over there! Those bears have got some smarts and know how to pick your locks to get to your food!

It is awesome…..

Go in/around spring and not in late summer, because by the time we hiked 7 miles to see Upper Yosemite Falls, it was just a wet spot on the side of the cliff.
We also passed Mirror Lake thinking it was a pond.
Even still, Yosemite is a wonderful experience well worth your efforts.
