Johannesburg aka: Jo'burg

I hate this place. To live here you need to be brain-dead and zombified. It is a city made for evil.
People sleep in the streets, not in pairs, not in tens, but in hundreds. Would you like to witness murder? Take a drive through Hillbrow, and watch the horrors unfold.
It is cold here, and the air is polluted. I found myself in a perpetual state of paranoia. No one is there for you. Nobody cares. And if you have a wallet, there will be a gun to your head…

i was 17…and i was walking inside a mall near the nelson mandela square and i was scouted by a modelling agency…they made me realize that i had a potential to become a super model..but i honestly..was too young, was starting university in the fall and plus i was just there for a vacation to meet my father for the first time..so i turned them down..:(

It seems so far away now, but it is home, 2 more monts and i’ll be spending a week home….hope the suns still out then :)

Johannesburg, urban and wild

Most people think that Africa only has wild life and poverty. However, there are lots of cities that are urbanized, such as documentaries on animal planet, in which it was, started that only a little part of this text is to show people that only one little part of Johannesburg has wild life nowadays. The object of this text is to show people that in Johannesburg is urban and wild at the same time.

Johannesburg is located in the northeast of south Africa it is a subtropical city like it’s here in São Paulo. In Johannesburg there are 39.4 million inhabitants with one area of 1.916.063.0 km, its government is parlamentalist government and its lieder is Thabo Mebiqui.

Everybody thinks that in Johannesburg is only wild life but there are wealthi northen surbans where the white rich people live. Besides, Johannesburg is a density populated flat land and it has a market area called market thither, a sort of South African Covent Garden, where once derelict market buildings have been given a new and powerful lease of life. The area around the complex is a hive of activity – especially at the weekends. The flea market when the air is alive with the sounds of basking musicians. The only wild life that you can find in Johannesburg is ship and ostriches.
That’s why people should go and visit the place because of its beauty and economic power and don’t forget that some of the matches of the next world cup will be there.

This is a long-term plan actually. I wanna go there for the World Cup in 2010. But maybe I’ll go earlier…

i went there 10+ years ago and i loved it, but it was still segregated at the time and so very in your face prejudiced…..but the place is gorgeous…

Be street smart

Newtown is a must see! It’s the new-ish cultural hub of the city, part of the inner-city regeneration project. It’s not as dangerous as people would think; the car-guards are a bit scary though. I totally love this city!
