Carson City

I spent all of my single digit years here. When I left in ‘95 I was happy to get out of there, but in retrospect, it wasn’t all that bad. I would never move back, but I wouldn’t mind passing through again (I have heard that it has changed quite a bit.)

We stopped to get an oil change at a Jiffy Lube while on a road trip, and a crazy old lady talked our ear off for an hour.

I’ve heard the place is expanding and become very large. I lived here right after finishing HS. I have some very good memories of this place, and Virginia City, one of my favorite places.

Carson City to my list of capital cities visited. Why is the capital of Nevada NOT Las Vegas?????

at 3:30 a.m. in the grocery store is your idea of fun, you probably already live here and work at the chamber of commerce. Skip Northern Nevada.

Ok, Carson City isn’t a tourist town, but the north end of the city is home to the main campus of the Western Nevada Community College. Lots of nice teachers, i think, and it’s ok prep for transferring to the University of Nevada, Reno.

I only went here because of family, and it is a total drag, dusty, dirty, remote, and boring. I guess all things considered it is a nice place, but not a place to visit.

boring just like most small/mid-sized non-touristic city in USA.
good food tho.
