Evansville

I lived here. If you like a place that never changes, where the people can’t drive, and the summers are so hot that your skin melts it’s GREAT! But it is my hometown so I love it, flaws and all.

The first full week in October is the fall festival. Completely worth checking out.

yes, it’s a small place full of pseudo-intellectuals and crushing desperation..and cliches.

nothing special

my father’s side of the family is from evansville. there’s not a whole lot to do there. not a destination worth visiting.

... but it has Uncle Jimmy’s, and Uncle Jimmy’s is alright by me! I would walk [and swim] back from Ireland to get to eat there again.

Plus, their July 4th celebrations are insane, and wonderful.

And it will forever remain the first place I ever had a corn dog!

E-ville is definitely worth checking out if you are in Indiana, but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it. There are lots of great places to eat and it’s the perfect place to raise a family.

I’m not sure if this is worth visiting or not, but this is where I grew up.
