Evansville

I have familt that lives in Evansville. I love it! I’ve spent a lot of time down there. I was even going to move there and go to school there after high school. That didn’t work out though. My best friend ended up living there for a year though. My first road trip was to Evansville. My friend and I stayed the weekend and went to a ton of places. There’s a lot of fun stuff to do. Or just walking around is great.

Evansville kind of reminds me of Orlando, actually. The city’s very spread out and mostly flat. I was pleased to see that I could find all the same stores that I love at home and some other neat places like Donut Bank. :)

I grew up here until i was about 6, then we moved to california. i have to say that it is a god place to live if you have younger children, but if you have teenagers then move somewhere else because the crime there is ridiculous and there are two colleges that are more like high schools than universities. i would know, i came back and went to one.

I was in Eville for a wedding one weekend, and after the reception, I went to Someplace Else, a gay bar downtownish. It was a blast! Everyone was very friendly and the drinks were so cheap. Great scene.

There are plenty of things to do in Evansville. I was born and raised in and around Evansville and I love it.

Starting in January, if there is snow, you have to go up to Reitz Hill and look out at the Ohio, it is wonderful, even w/o the snow it is the best view! There is Thunder on the Ohio, many, many church socials, fairs/carnivals, historical sites, local bands, Dress Plaza, shopping, swimming, skating off all sorts, board, in-line, roller and ice and so many different areas with country views. Evansville has alot of nice parks, libraries and in the summer you can go see the Evansville Otters baseball team, play a game. This city is just as nice as larger cities, you just have to be a bit more creative and enjoy a more mature environment. Although, there is plenty to do here with your children.

My hometown. I only ever return to visit family. Otherwise, I’d never bother.

the people were nice.. not much to do… and i was there for work.. the weather was wacky…
