Brownsville

Bright Lights, Big City… these are things you won’t find here. Border Patrol, lots of cheap knick-knacks and plenty of local flavour, thats what you’re in for. I enjoyed simple mingling with the locals. Its a place that reminds you that not everything has to be done at New York’s Break-neck pace. I’d probably enjoy it more if I had any talent for foreign languages.

Sad enough, I hate this place. I live here. All of my worst memories are alive in this place. Besides, I don’t find many people from here attractive. No offense. It’s just that it has bored the hell out of me. But you might think other wise…and you might not. What does it matter? Cheerz.

I attended Texas Southmost College at Ft. Brown, and my picture is in the Scorpio yearbook. Lived in Brownsville 4 years, 8months and 10 days. Learned to love and speak Spanish there. Once owned some land at 326 JoAnn Lane. Mr Don Miller, from Brownsville Saving & Loan, lent me the money to attend college.

When I was a little kid, I had an imaginary friend named Bob Nana, who lived in Brownsville, Texas. He drove a yellow Mercedes (one of my Matchbox cars) and was in his fifties— he looked a lot like Mr. Rogers.

Anyway, I’d like to pay him a visit. He would be in his eighties now, if he existed, which he doesn’t.

I lived in Brownsville for a year and had to relocate back to PA. I bought a house and now it is for sale. If you’re looking for a nice house in Brownsville, let me know!!

I don’t like putting the “not worth visiting” tag on any place I’ve been … but border towns are an exception … Brownsville will always hold a special place in my heart, but that’s just cuz I grew up there!

I didn’t think there were people who spoke english in this city!
