Tallahassee

I visited my FSU friends. Not toooo impressed.

Tallahassee is not a bad place, just not a spot I would go very far out of my way to visit.

As you can see from the picture, there are quite a few nice, big, old trees.

I was born here. My parents met here. I’ve moved away and back several times. It sucks less than many other places. Best visited in spring or fall. Six hours away from Mardi Gras, the Blue Ridge, and the Gulf Stream.

The people who say it’s not worth visiting are right. Nothing to see here. Move along. Orlando, maybe, or Atlanta. But not here. Trust me. Not a thing.

...if you’re going to FSU. Otherwise, I wouldn’t actually plan a trip there. Well, maybe if I had to write something really long and wanted NO distractions. And if I wanted to get out of the Northeast’s winter weather (and who wouldn’t?).

Lived there from 1985-1997. Graduated from FSU. The fun in this town comes from good times with friends at FSU events or hanging out at watering holes. Hottest place in Florida, but fortunately close to Wakulla Springs – natural spring that stays at 65 degrees even in the middle of summer. Great family and college town. Compact town, lots of trees, small town environment, homes more expensive. Job market sucks – you either work for the state or a mom-and-pop place. The state pay scale tops out at $35 K for most people.

this place is really really boring ! with rain falling all the time and bad weather whether u’re in summer or winter! that’s really boring!

I hate the weather, but it has its high points.

While often put down for being a “football town” or a “college town,” Tallahassee actually has a lot of very nice things to offer. And we have the best parks in the US!

I nice little place in the midst of hickville. I can’t see this place appealing to anyone besides floridians…

Tallahassee is a nice town to pass thru on your way to someplace else.
