My favourite place in california

If you love to look at hoards of young military guys roaming the streets then this is your place. I particularly like palm-tree-lined Coast Highway, looking at the sunset on the pier, and walking to Ruby’s for a shake.

For some reason, This town is really depressing.

This is the first place where I ever saw the ocean. I was 24, and I fell so in love with the ocean that it hurts my heart to not be there now. Oceanside will always have a place in my heart!

I want to ride the first train to Oceanside… from Escondido.

I’m currently staying in a beach house about a block away from the ocean. I can see how people think that parts of this town are sketchy. Regardless, from a tourist’s point of view, I like it.

One of the most underrated places in San Diego. South Oceanside has some great little beaches and independent groceries and restaurants. I hope Java Hut’s still there – a little surf cafe with a friendly owner who has the “stoke”. Yes, there’s a little bad. Parts of this town are sketchy, and if you’re young and female I don’t recommend you walk on the 101 after dark – I lived here sans car and was approached a few times while walking home. The most ridiculous was when I was in sweatpants carrying a big bag of Mexican takeout. If you walk the 101 after dark, you are assumed to be a hooker. An old salt and friend in my old apartment building announced one day that my bus stop was known as “hooker’s corner” and that there were some transladies who worked the corner after dark. Whoops. I wondered why cars kept honking at me.

i live here, i was born 2 blocks away from the beach!!! this place is the greatest!!! surf, sand, sun and beach volleyball! i cant imagine living anywhere else. i found love on lifeguard tower 2!! i still go to the beach every weekend, and we also have some of the best mexican food EVER!!! i <3 o'side!!
