I can’t say enough good about Chattanooga. My family and I spent nearly a month there in the summer of 2004 while my husband was working in the area, and we found so much to do and so many friendly people in Chattanooga. You really forget that you’re in a large city!
The Staybridge Suites at the Downtown Convention Center was our home away from home while we stayed in Chattanooga. The hotel is clean and very comfortable and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.
While you’re in Chattanooga, don’t miss Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls, Rock City, the Aquarium and the Children’s Museum. The riverfront is wonderful, too!

My husband and I visited Chattanooga last weekend with the intent of considering moving there. I was encouraged by what we found: afforable housing, a clean city that the citizens are working to improve, and some of the friendliest people you’ll ever find! Chattanooga is looking pretty likely for us, although it’s not definate. Now we just need our house here in Vegas to sell, so we can make our decision and get going!

The best thing to do in Chattanooga:
Park the car near the aquarium, walk across the pedestrian bridge over the Tennessee River, if you’re up for lunch, stop in the River Street Deli on the lower level of shops on the north shore, then hit Clumpie’s ice cream for dessert. Carry it with you down to the park on the waterfront and enjoy watching the kids playing in the fountain. That’s just my advice :)

I sang “Chattanooga Choo Choo” with the Georgia Tech Glee Club at the old Chattanooga train station, which had been converted to a restaurant at the time. Its been a while since I did this so I don’t know if the restaurant is still there.

Left on the bus from Oklahoma City to work for Covenant Transport. Spent 3 days in Orientation, got a company truck, drove over the line to Tunnel Hill, GA to get carpet to take to Oregon. Whew! What a deal!
