Fort Lauderdale aka: Ft. Lauderdale

I’ve never stayed there for any length of time. Just long enough to get on the cruise ship!!

I had to wait for the exhibit to go through so while I waited, there was a jazz fest going on that I listened to good music, had good food, and also saw a movie over at the shopping area. Had a great time

There is soo much to see, and to do. Hollywood Beach!

I had a wonderful time at the Lasso Summit in March. I learned a great deal and I got to meet a lot of people in person that I have communicated with for years online. Learn about Lasso.

It’s not far away from Miami if you want a night of partying but parking isn’t as bad and the hotels are a bit cheaper. Look for a place a few blocks from the beach…

I went to high school in Plantation – just outside of Fort Lauderdale. It was uninspiring. A lot of shallow beach bum/bunny types obsessed with flashy cars and big boats until you headed west and ran into the rednecks.

I left for Boston as soon as I graduated.

Fort Lauderdale beach is the perfect place for super-early birds. The sunrise is gorgeous. The weather is perfect. You’ll be sure to see other happy, healthy folks doing yoga, jogging, or walking their dogs.

I found Fort Lauderdale sort of boring except for the beach. We were only there for 1 day before going on a cruise so maybe that’s why. But, in the middle of July the beach was NOT very crowded and I spent the entire day on the beach. I also went to some little mall that sucked big time…There were only a few stores in it.
The hotel, Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort Hotel and Suites was awesome though. It had a poolside “tiki” bar and really nice, big rooms.

I visited a friend here a few months ago. I loved the relaxing atmosphere. Plus 3 for the price of 1 drinks… you gotta love that! :-)
