Winston-Salem aka: Winston Salem

Keep driving. Nothing in this town. I guess if your fortunate enough to make it to Old Salem during daylight hours you can watch a renactor make candles! Yeah, there’s not too much to do in this town. Its not suprising that it was voted one of the worst places in the U.S. to be single!

Of all of the places I’ve visited and lived, this is home to me. The people I love most are here. The places I visit in my dreams are all set here. It’s comfortable. It’s tasty. It’s lovely.

You can wander around Reynolda, go out to Bethabra or Salem Lake, eat and drink downtown, see the Phallus Palace, visit the auditorium, enjoy wonderful BBQ (REAL BBQ) at Mr. BBQ and Hill’s, get some ‘za at Burke St, a dog at Skippy’s, chat people up at the Gallery Hops, pay respects at God’s Acre, get drunk at the Moon, listen at the Garage, and and and…

My surgeon’s office was in WS and I loved going to the doctor & then shopping at the Hanes Mall. WS is a lovely city.

its like god had formed this part of the country with his own hands great woods wonderful farm land the home of americas team green bay packers.i lived there and im amazed that this little city brings people from alll over the world thats why i call it gods country.

I go to school here. It’s nice, but I don’t know how I’d feel about living there.

Winston is great. It isn’t a huge city but its not a small town either. It has great artsy things, historic places like old salem, and some great downtown bars (like Ziggy’s). I’ve lived here most of my life and I love it!

...I went to school at Salem College. One of the most amazing places in one of the most beautiful states in the country.
