over 5 years agoit was exciting. we played in this huge three story house in the middle of this neighborhood off of 5th street. we got lost looking for the venue at first. someone had heard that the location had gotten changed, so we went to this other place. don’t remember the name of it. we finally found the place after the promoter came and picked us up. karen and her friends were there. it was nice to see her. she’s always fun. hef got smoked in the chest with a water balloon. some dude broke his ankle, too. i wish i could remember the other bands who played. i know hey bastard was supposed to play, but they cancelled.
over 6 years agoI met my husband at the University of Dayton. The campus is legendary and truly a unique place. Where else does a university own nearly all of the student housing and have such a wonderful community atmosphere? Of course the parties are something people are always shocked about as well.
over 6 years agoI went to college here. I really miss Dayton. There was lots, and lots to do and see for a poor college student family. The Air Force Museum is a definite must see. Carillon Park has a wonderful Carillon and houses a replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer (Dayton is the Wright Brothers Home Town) Just North of Dayton in Springfield is “Veterans Park” where they put on community Theatre. Mainly musicals, but were always very well done! We took lawn chairs and our kids and enjoyed a great family outing!
over 6 years agoWell, I live in a suburb of Dayton. It’s an okay place to be. If you’re planning to go to Kings Island or something it’s about a 40-minute drive. There are some sweet museums like Boonshoft and the Air Force Museum, and some okay malls. The UD campus is a sweet place to be, and they have a great sports program.
