St. Petersburg aka: Saint Petersburg

Spent a few family summer vacations here…

I want to live here. The air is sweet and the ocean is beautiful. Just being there put me in a different universe. The city of St. Petersburg was big, but uncrowded. Its a perfect city to just walk around and enjoy. I liked the Baywalk area. BEAUTIFUL. I WILL be going back next year..and the year after that…maybe I’ll stay.

I lived here for about a year and a half, I went to USF as an International Student (I’m Swedish), and it was my very first close encounter with a culture different from my own.

It made me humble, I learned that people are basically the same whether they live in Florida or Spain, we share the same worries and feelings.

It was interesting to live in a country politically different from my own, Sweden has been a social democracy (left wing) for many years, while the US is known for its market economy and right wing party.

I loved it.

Best industrial club I’ve seen in a while.

Great fishing opportunities, since the city is in the bay area. Lots of catfish, etc.

some of the best times of my life happened here. everyone is so friendly, i made tons of new friends. i’m going back this july… can’t wait!

I went to Eckerd College for a year and a half and I loved the city of St. Petersburg – much nicer than Tampa!

I am only a tiny bit biased having lived here for most of my life, but this is a beautiful city. The Pier, the Salvador Dali Museam, even Williams Park (whichs is a bus central and beggers ask you for quarters all the time, but you can hear the church bells toll the hour). Baywalk gives a high class feel, even when just going to the movies or getting an ice cream cone. I love it here, and if not for true love I would never have left. Even then I tried to get him to live here first!
