So I’m here for the next couple of weeks on a work trip.

So it’s all free and gets another place ticked off. :)

Lots to see and do, but lots of traffic as well. Enjoyed Portland a bit more.

I worked in Seattle for a brief couple of months about 8 years ago. I’d say that it was perhaps more of a ‘working’ city than a tourist trap – and that it to its credit.

Like all American cities, it’s worth visiting for the cultural facilities and buildings – which easily outstrip the general quality and size of equivalents in Europe.

Also, it’s within easy striking distance of the Cascade Mountains – which are simply stunning.

Be sure to go to the Pike Place market and grab a freshly made crumpet and get a HUGE choc chip cookie from one of the bakeries there – TOOGOOD!
