Matamoros

It was neat, since it was my first time to Mexico, but it looked like I was in a poorly made independant movie set in Mexico in the mid-80’s.

It was really colorful and I won’t ever forget it.

It wasn’t even that bad getting across the border.
I did get to see a van in one of the little holding places that was about to be searched.

About ten minutes after we crossed the border, a kid that looked about 14 or 15 came right up, splashed water on the car’s windshield, and wiped it off with a squeegee.
He held out his hand, like my dad was supposed to pay him or something, and my dad freaked out a little and didn’t know what to do, so he sped off!

It was kinda funny.

Just went across the border for lunch one time, and did some shopping.

Massive traffic jam getting back into the U.S. Walk into and out of the city, if you can.

Not really anything intresting there to see. I been going there all my life and think that it just in not the best place to vist in mexico.

Went there for my grandfathers 80th birthday. I’m 1/2 hispanic and its right there by the border.

Me and 24 girls who i go to school with went down to matamoras for a service trip over spring break…its pretty bad down there…they are so poor…we built 2 houses for them and it just broke my heart…they are such hopeful people

Is close to Playa Bagdad and the people are very nice and talkative.

shopping in the markets and dining. The food was great! It’s best to park on the U.S. side of the bridge and walk over though.
