Acapulco aka: Acapulco de Juárez

I’m pretty sure that I was eight…I still remember swimming in the hotel pool with my brothers. Good times.

Then get in a cab (or get a bus) and go straight to pie de la cuesta. Bypass all the corporate stuff you can get everywhere else in the world and eat fresh mariscos by the sea! There are hotels there that are not listed on the major travel sites. This is the real Acapulco!

I visited Acapulco in March of 2001. I don’t remember much about it since it was a Spring Break thing. The Palladium was a very nice club, I do remember that. I’d like to go back some day and actually see the real Acapulco.

My husband proposed to me here! It was a complete surprise, but I couldn’t have asked for anything better, the water and waves, the beach and the moonlight. It was very memorable and I will never forget it. There is nothing but laying there on teh beach in your hammock with a good book relaxing with your sweetie. :-)

I went there last summer to visit some family and took a good friend. We had a great time just walking around la costera, going to the little beaches tourist don’t know about!! be sure to check out Mango’s and try the cucarachas!!!

Was about a year ago to visit my parents who live there. The whole city is very nice, try visiting the real Acapulco. Take a day to visit the markets and meet a native. Nightlife is awsome but besides that and the beautiful beaches there’s more to it, just look around. Go to Cuyuca and La Roqueta!

I’ve been to Acapulco 3 times and 2 out of the 3 were in the middle of huge rain storms. But we still had lots of fun! Drank a lot, ate a lot, danced a lot. Its a beautiful beach and if you go into the old part of the strip you can find some really good sea food resturants that are really cheap! I totally think anyone who has a chance should go!

Went here when I was in High School!! Loved it!!!! I had a great time. I wish to return someday!

Acapulco was the second place in Mexico I vacationed to, & it was pretty different from Cancun. Not as touristy, & definitly more laid back. Everyone there pretty much did their own thing, & the scenery was beautiful & relaxing.

Love it! It was truely an amazing trip! La tortuga hotel was great and gosh yeah I just loved it! The sun, beaches, waves, swimming, night clubs…awesome!
