Beaches, mountains, nightclubs.

A great place to vacation. I caught a 7 1/2 foot long sailfish, plus a smaller 5 foot one. It was lots of fun. Went on a cool club tour. Great place.

Not Cancun ...

Acapulco is very different than other places in Mexico like Cancun. There were places that were real touristy, however you could easily find places within the city that were not overrun with travelers and therefore gave you true feeling that you were somewhere very different.

My favorite thing was eating dinner at a small restaurant overlooking the bay. Shopping, not so impressive.

A review of this place

Probably my least favourite place in Mexico… tourism has definitley gotten the better of this city. It is dirty, over-priced, and you cannot spend 5 minutes on the beach without people harassing you to buy stuff. The jet boat trip is worth doing, where you can go see the cliff divers, and we also saw a massive sea turtle. Otherwise, there are better places to go in Mexico.

How this place changed my life

We swam with dolphins which is something that I have ALWAYS wanted to do in my life…That was awesome. Acapulco itself was nothing too special for me, a bunch of tourists and way too commercialised.
