I want to go back! I loved the place. I loved Canada (or what little I managed to see of it in three weeks). I am quite sad when I think how much I miss it. I will definitely go back. I would like to move to Vancouver maybe for just a short while and get into some paid employment. See what it’s like to live there. Got family out there so it’s all good.
Ugh. I want to go back!

Last night I dreamed I was sitting in Tim Hortons eating boston cream donuts with my boyfriend, outside it was cold and there was lots of snow.
I was at the Tim Hortons near Canadian tyre, in North Van

My sister and I visited in August and we had a great time. It rained one day but the rest of the trip was lovely. We visited Bowen Island which I highly recommend and rented a bicycle built for two to ride around the outside of Stanley Park. We stayed at the hostel called “downtown” although it’s just close to downtown. I loved it, I will definitely go back some day.

Be sure to check out Granville Island (different from Granville Ave… we made that mistake the first time we drove through). Tons of fun shops, theater, entertainment, and great views.

My first trip to Vancouver is just 11 days away! I’ll be spending a week there with my best friend. We’re planning on spending 4 days on the mainland, and 3 on Vancouver Island. We’ve got spreadsheets listing various things we want to do and are still working out or final itinerary. I’m excited though!
I’ll also be celebrating my birthday during this trip. It’s a special one for me – not because of the age, but because it’s 2008. That means, my birthday is 08/08/08! Hee! While we’re there, I plan on getting a tattoo on my birthday to mark the special occasion. (That means, time for me to start looking into tattoo parlours in Vancouver.) I’m still working out the exact design, but the tattoo will be intertwined 8’s to mark the special day—it ends up looking quite a bit like a flower in the end.

Vancouver was ok. I was only there for a bit, granted. But it’s big and expensive and bustling. I like the pace of Victoria better. Though I’ve only been here for a bit. But, the big beluga at the Vancouver Aquarium gave birth to a baby and this was a very amazing site to behold. Beyond that – eh.
