Went there to catch a flight to Europe. Only reason to go back would be to see the Argos play in the dome just one time.

I’ll finally be visiting Toronto this November. Yay!

I’ve been here for a week from the end of 2001 to the beginning of 2002 to see my girl friend who stayed here to study. It was winter and so cold. We went to some places in the city, casino at Niagara Falls, and so on. We’ve got a hotel room in chinatown, had delicious chinese foods.
It was also my first airplane trip.

We went on a family vacation here when I was little.

I only have a couple memories, but I will never forget them.

I remember the night time not being like any other night time I’ve ever experienced here in the states. The cold was different, and I loved it.

We stayed there for a few days, and every night my dad would give me a little gold coin and I would go over to a lady selling cotton candy in a little booth on the street and get one.
I think I did it for three nights in a row, and I she remembered me every time.

One night, we ate at a seafood restaurant that was in the shape of a boat. I can’t remember if the actual restaurant was the boat itself, or if the boat was just a part of the outside.
To get to the restaurant, we had to walk up a kind of plank, wood with ropes on either side, like on a real boat.
On the inside, where you wait to be seated, there was a box that you look into, turn a wheel, and pictures would flip really fast to create a movie.
I asked my dad for a coin to view it, and I remember thinking it was really cool.

Then I read the sign at the bottom of the movie box, and it said something like ‘you don’t need money to use this, but your donation is appreciated’.
And I felt like they tricked me into thinking I had to give money in order to view the movie box!

I’ll never forget those memories.

I just moved here over a month ago to live with my boyfriend and I have to say I’ve never been more in love with a city then I am with Toronto.

The Centre Island of Toronto is GREAT! Reminds me a lot of Central Park. It’s really chill, and you can rent bikes and boats and just hang out at the beaches. Loved it. :)

We didn’t go to many dive bars in Toronto (unfortunately), but there is one called “Hideout” that has an acoustic band every Tuesday night. That was pretty sweet.

There is a yummy chocolate shop in the Distillery District that sells delicious Mayan hot chocolate. I had never had it, so it was a real treat.

Queen Street is pretty cool to stroll down. I think there are little theatres tucked away that I’d like to explore on a longer trip.

Lastly, Toronto’s streetcar system is really cute! They are little narrow trolleys that can run underground as well. You have to have an exact change of $2.75 when you get on, which is kind of annoying. “Loonies” are one-dollar coins and “toonies” are two-dollar coins in Canada; that threw us off a bit when we were at the bank. :)

Visit the CN Tower and Niagara Falls

I was 19, living in erie, pennsylvania, my first year of college, depressed from a confusing breakup, suffering from seasonal affective disorder, and uncertain about my future. My roommate, handed me $100 put me on a bus with some friends and sent me to Toronto for the weekend. It got me out of my funk, helped me make some major decisions about my life, and reminded me that there were some beautiful places I needed to go.

Toronto in 1999 was incredibly hip, clean, and full of great shopping, art, and music. I haven’t been there since, but I will always hold the place in high esteem.

I love this city! I went once when I was younger, and ever since, I’ve been dying to go back. Hopefully one day soon I’ll have the chance to explore this city once again…
