Pune aka: Poona

Stayed in Pune for about a year. Apart from really nice friends that I made here, I love this city for being so chilled out. No hurry.
Beautiful weather, though summers are bit harsh.
It’s got something for everyone. Be it movies, pubs, clubs, markets. This city rocks.
N don’t forget to visit Koregoan for all the eating out places

I work in Chicago for an Indian Company. We have an office in Pune, and I was able to travel and work there for three weeks. The people were extremely pleasant and the weather and food were good. The roads and traffic are horrible. One thing I appeciated was the geniuness of the people of the city and their great spirtual nature. If you have any questions feel free!~

When to a really cozy parsi cafe….

It turns out there are tonnes of things to do there.
Coolest thing is that even people from Bombay prefer Pune (or Poona) to Bombay (although not all will admit it).

i have family here. Its an awsome place, very green and lush and weather is much nicer than Bombay. I remember eating corn on the cob off streets of Pune, it was really good. But if you don’t have a strong stomach i would be wary of the street food not only in Pune but in India itself…if you like adventure and spice take loads of Imodium or Pepto Bismol, like me. Its worth it!

well ive stayed in pune for nearly 5 years
it was the best experience of my life.studied there .superb
the people are very friendly and think of mauritians as indians only .like every single bit of it .. koregaon park ,mg road , fc road ….i feel like goin now itself
knowing hindi helped loads…..mostly in the shops
indian food is the best if u like hot n spicy food…...wowwww
never had ne prob there…...except arguing with rickshaw drivers wenever we wud have a nite out and wudnt be able to drive back home n had to take the rick…...
therz not much pollution there n pf course u wnt even notice it if uve been to mumbai before…...
the weather is real cool…
and expect to meet people from around the world and from all over india there mostly students…..

Though for a few days but that trip was so much needed as in me to have a break.. I also got my admission for MBA there but my parents couldnt part fm me and wanted me to stay in Indore so i dint go to pune for my further studies but yeah one of my best frnds did.. I wish i too would have been there for my MBA..!

Been here for 3 years now, its been quite an experience living in a place n visitin it as a tourist are two different things, this place has some extremely hot spots, its got an amazin student population perhaps the best in the country. Its just being at the right place at the right time, some of the happenin places are FC Road, MG Road n now KP, the Osho Ashram is what tourits come here for. It was once a hill station and is engulfed by the Sahyadris. The weather here is mostly pleasant, as I’m originally from Mumbai this place serves as a purrrfect!! getaway.

And chances are, you weren’t. I’ve been back to my old stomping grounds probably five times, returning every fourish years. It’s interesting to see how much the town/country globalizes and grows and changes between visits.
