Peterborough

I had made a wonderful friend on Myspace who happens to have the same birthday as me. We had been talking almost a year online so I went to go visit him for our birthday this year. I had the most wonderful time it’s an awesome place, lots of beautiful things to see in Peterborough. Very nice people. I am going back for the entire month of December and staying into January of next year! I love the public transportation system there which is one of the biggest pulses! They also have some fantastic shopping!

Iv only been to Peterborough because its the main station you have to travel to when traveling from York to Stamford. Its a lovely city. Not loads to do but worth a look I think. Some very beautiful sights.

I want to visit my best friend and her mum. We’ve talked about it and we’re going to go to the fairy meadows(think they’re really called ferry meadows) and h&m to buy kids clothes.

I have lived here for 13 years. OK, so I’m married with kids, and what I look for in a good place to live is different than when I was foot loose and fancy free. Our house overlooks a large green with trees and lots of birds, and gives the children a safe place to play with all the neighbourhood kids away from traffic. Their school is a five minute bike ride or ten minute walk away, with no roads to cross.

The area is flat, on the border of the Fens, but has some great cycle routes, and we get great sunsets.

The city itself is OK, top places to visit are the 13th century cathedral and the recently restored Broadway cinema/theatre.

There’s not really a huge amount to see here, but if you’re interested in cathedrals, then we have a fairly spiffy west front on ours. :p
