Bournemouth

Bournemouth is a place full with young people. It has everything you might want from a city. When I went there I realized that living and eventually studying there is quite possible. Many of my friends will continue their education here, learning nothing valuable. When I got of the bus form Poole and went browsing the city I realized that I need this kind of change.

I grew up in Christchurch, so until I started uni Bournemouth has been just a bus ride or car journey away.

It’s really a great place, the beaches, town centre, everywhere. And fantastic nightlife too.

... was Friday. Fortunately it was quite sunny and warm, we went to the beach which was fun. I went in the sea, had an ice-cream and went on the carousel with Noah.

i went to study english and live there for a month .
i fall in love of the place…i remember going to study to the institute walking throw a beautiful path full of squarrels running everywhere, then the beach so near the path the fireworks exactly at 19 pm, the people so nice.
I stayed in a department for foreign people and the man who was in charge just rule, a Ramones fan just like me…
i could never forget my trip there i really wish to go back someday…there is a piece of my heart there and in England…

I’ve been in Bournemouth during the summer, 1998.
But it wasn’t that hot, especially if you will be going there from a mediterranean country like me, it feels like spring. Mostly rainy. It is a cool place with little traffic though, even a place to live in peace during the day-time. But beware of the fanatic racists at night. One of my friends got stabbed while returning home.

I’ve lived in Bournemouth for 3 yrs after moving from nr York. I like it, it has great beaches, the town is fairly cosmopolitan, most inhabitants are friendly! It’s also well known for it’s nightlife which can be…...carnage on a weekend! Apparently only Soho has a higher concentration of licensed venues in such a small area, which explains the mass influx of hen/stag/rugby parties here at the weekend! If you are holidaying with kids I would not recommend walking around too late at weekends, although there are plenty of other kids around they are unfortunately drunken chav’s and not so friendly. Apart from that it’s a cool place to live!

I did my MA at Bournemouth Uni and stayed there from 1998 – 2000. Also worked at the UCI cinema whilst there.

I still miss my ex from those days.

What a city! :)

In september 2005 I first arrived in Bournemouth to live there for almost a year. I recently got back from the town and am missing it.

I have lived in Bournemouth all my life and can’t really think of any bad things about it. Visit in the summer if you can, the beaches are great!
