Winchester

A beautiful town, with a stunning cathedral. The compact town centre which means that it’s very easy to walk around and see the sights. Only 1hr from London Waterloo on a fast train!

I loved Winchester, especially the hostel in the old mill. Jane Austen’s cottage was a quick bus ride away, and the cathedral was incredibly beautiful.

I don’t know why but I love Winchester – I live in Nottingham and I suppose it’s similar in some respects. I love the tiny cinema in the city centre!!

Well, it was my birth place! I don’t remember anything about it really because I left when I was 4, so I’d really like to return to my hometown someday.

Worth visiting for its cathedral and the statue of King Alfred.

I spent a night in Winchester, sleeping in the Youth Hostel that is part of a historic mill!

The cathedral is very nice. It’s a pity I got there too late to see the inside.

The most beautiful city in the world (in my own humble opinion!) I challenge you to stand atop St. Catherine’s hill and truly disagree.

Nice little town with some shops and a really really old (900 years!) cathedral… very beautiful. Worth a trip if you’re in the area.
