he flight took 45 minutes from Rotterdam.
we slept in a basic hotel, because the only thing you do there is sleep.

than you take the subway to the centre. Ask for a map of all lines of the subway. it’s very easy if you understand the map

And then go shopping!

Best Latte

I loved London. Such a relief after Paris to not have the language struggle. We saw cute little boys in Pantaloons, waved to the security guards outside the High End (Gucci I think) clothing store, dropped by Harrods and oddly enough I had the best latte ever in London in the middle of Hyde Park.

That having been established I didn’t see 1/5 of the things I wanted to in London. Our entire Paris/France/England/London trip was 3 weeks. I’d like to spend 4 just in London – it was beautiful.

London Calling!

I went to London last summer and it was a most remarkable trip. In addition to all of the typical touristy places to visit (Big Ben, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace), I strongly encourage that visitors take in a show in the Theatre District (I saw Lion King and Wicked!), browse the various markets scattered around the city, and go on some of the obscure walking tours (The Jack the Ripper tour was excellent!).

We are planning on going to London at the end of June and we need some help we are looking for a place to stay that is kinda close to the main sights. We are going to be there 5 days and I and looking for a place that is pretty cheap and is close to things and is comfortable to stay at. Some people may think I am asking to much but I know it is possible I just need a little advice from people who have been there before. Hotels, Bed and Breakfast, any place is fine…..

A European New York, with more History

I really enjoyed London and all the sites it has to offer. Did find the people’s attitudes & behavior seemed very American. They are more insular and self-involved than other Europeans. Therefore, you’ll experience more rude behavior than elsewhere.

I recommend getting out of the city. Stonehenge, Canterbury, Leeds, Hastings, Bath, etc., are short drives away. Check out Cheddar Gorge—the natural beauty is a surprise given the relative flatness of southern England.

London

good place to go if you got the money

it is expensive, and HUGE. I didnt have any idea how spread out it is. My train ride from Heathrow to Kings Cross seemed like an eternity. It was entertaining enough to just walk around and look at things. It was about everything I imagined it to be. Camden Town was probably my highlight because I hadnt heard of it before going there and it was way cool. The london eye is really cool to go in. If your tight on your budget though, go somewhere else.

London was the first foreign city I’ve been to and I am totally in love with it! I just hope to get back there as soon as possible.
