We stopped here on our Sting concert Tour and caught both a Sting and U2 concert. We even met Bono briefly!

Zurich is a wonderful blend of European old world charm, with modern glamour and fashion.

this was a beautiful city with beautiful women. Too bad I had to hurry through – I will go back sometime. Only thing bad is it is very expensive to eat and drink.

...the weather was so-so and I wonder if that tainted my opinion of the city a bit. Now, I’m not expecting sunny blue skies, 24/7 while in Switzerland, but the gray started to get to me after a while.
I’m not knocking Zurich, nor am I saying that you should go (you definitely should). Just be warned on two accounts: 1) It’s expensive, 2) You may be enjoying all the city has to offer (music, culture, dining, etc.) under a tarp of clouds.

It was so cool, the tram takes you anywhere you want to go. This place is incredibly expensive in comparison to California. So bring money! The people are friendly and helpful for the most part. It seemed like just about everyone spoke English. The motels are kinda small but really nice and clean. Overall a great experience, I’d recommending it. Heck, I just recommend traveling.

Zürich is such an amazing place. But I can’t say the same things for some local people. But every place has such people of course.

The Central Hotel is a great place to stay. It’s got a fantastic location in the heart of Old Zurich just across from the HB (main train station) and within walking distance of the Grossmunster, Landesmuseum, the Bahnhofstrasse and even Zurich Lake Park. The Central is a stylish, contemporary hotel by American standards with a sort of “Bauhaus” asthetic. But the staff couldn’t be any warmer or helpful. I’ve stayed there twice now and it really feels like a home away from home. The piano bar is wonderful, or you can sit in the lobby and they’ll bring you great cappuccino while you work on your laptop or watch the big flatscreen. The rooms have been renovated in the last two or three years.
