Helsingborg

I spent a few days in Stockholm and it was winter then. The airfare and travel (as a whole) is cheaper but i won’t advise it. The daylength is so short (sun will rise at around 10 and sets at 2), and most of the time it is gloomy, not even a hint of sunshine. It is so cold you would rather stay at home than go out.

What i enjoyed is the constant snow – everyday (day and night), non-stop! I also like the frozen lakes, cherry (?) trees, and the museums. They have all sorts of museums.

Overall, I enjoyed my trip. I’ll do it again, but this time I’ll make sure that it is summer/spring

Well, I visited but I didn’t really see any of the city apart from: Mjölkcentral – a disused milk factory, the Scandic Hotel (Helsinborg Nord), and a burger grill between the two.

Had a good time, though :)

Just gotta love Sweden. Friendly people, beautiful country, and lots of charming cities. Denmark is better, but don’t tell anyone.

Having been to Linköping last summer for the LCP party, I’ll be off to Helsingborg at the end of July for its follow up, BFP

It was fun seeing just a little bit of Sweden last year (from Skavsta airport by bus to Nyköping, then on the train to Linköping). This year, we’re flying into Malmö and driving up to Helsingborg. I’m hoping there will be some nice Swedish scenery – it was a pleasure to drive in Finland in 2004, and I’m expecting similar from Sweden.

When I was visiting Denmark in 1987, we took the ferry over to Helsingborg and spent a couple of hours in Sweden.

So I have set foot on Swedish soil.

Haven’t really been back for some time now, but it is a really nice little town.
