Cheap accomodation can be found if you are dishonest by pretending to be starting your camino here. You can then stay in one of the albergues (but only for one night). You have to look like a hiker, though…

make sure you go to the Catedral de Burgos, its, in my point of view one of the best in southern europe

I spent the weekend in burgos last summer 2005 around july and didnt see the city that much cuz i went to the province to see lakes and rivers, so I guess I need to go back someday!
