oh and for a tip

i’d advise you to watch your back. my friend got 30 euros stolen right out of his hands, another one got an ipod taken from her backpack as we were walking, and i got my backpack unzipped but luckily all i had were jackets in there.

I love Sevilla!

The only thing more enjoyable than the friendly people is the amazing food. In fact, I could really go for some gazpacho and tapas right now. Mmm….

If you’re in the area, hit up the Cerveceria Europa at Avda/ Luis Montoto, 105.

Also, if you’re in town with a friend you should rent a rowboat and row along the Guadalquivir. My brother and I did this and it was one of the highlights of my trip!

Sa-b-ya

Seriously one of the most beautiful and charming cities I went to while in Spain. I never went to Granada, so I can’t compare it to that, which I heard is supposed to be even more beautiful. I can’t even imagine that.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

Seville is quite compact, it’s hot, sunny, and culturally interesting. The food is good (and Cruzcampo is good beer).

Stormy Sevilla

We visited Sevilla in 1998, during a trip across Andalucia. Sevilla seemed like a great place to live; manageable size, hopping nightlife, awesome restaurants. We lived on tapas and cheap wine, of course. I bought a CD of Flamenco guitar music by Sabicas – volume two of a two volume set; they didn’t have volume one.

There was a wild storm the night we arrived, tearing up trees in the park near the cathedral and cutting off rail transport, though fortunately not in the direction we were heading (towards Granada).
