A tip I have about this place

If you’re planning on seeing any sights at all, purchase a Verona Card. It’s 8€ for a day or 12€ for three days. It gets you into all these places and then some. By the time you’ve visited two places it’s probably paid for itself.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

Very picturesque – loved the arena. Not far from Venice either.

Perfect. So much to see, close to some treasures of italy e.g. Mantova, great shopping, good food. Touristy, but doesn’t feel over run like Florence or Rome.

Why I want to go to this place

I hear that Verona is a cute little city and is way more chill than Rome. I mainly want to see the Romeo and Juliet balcony, of course, but I also want to just hang out in the rest of town, too. My vision is that it’s a bit more authentic than Rome, just because there aren’t quite so many tourists.

A review of this place

One of Italy’s less talked about treasures. Everyone talks about Milan, Rome, Venice, Florence, but I’ve never heard anyone talk about Verona. Go, it’s so wonderful.

A review of this place

verona has some great shops, but the main attraction is definitely the place of ‘Romeo & Juliet’!
It is the cutest place ever, with the walls covered with (love)messages from people and couples all over the world and in different languages. amazing… (even if they were mostly stuck to the walls with chewing gum.. kind of gross, but it strangely still managed to be romantic!)

You can also pay to go up to the balcony of Juliet (which some people think is stupid) I think its a really cool thing to have felt part of!

I <3 Verona!

We’ve been a few time, twice to the summer opera in the roman arena! Both time we saw 2 operas while there, it was wonderful! Afterwards hurry over to the cafe’s lining the street, so you can people watch and catch a glimpse of the preformers going home!
