Köln aka: Cologne

I can’t say I cared for Cologne that much. The cathedral is really cool and definitely worth seeing, but other than that, it’s really not that great of a city. The streets adjacent to the cathedral or filled with fast food restuarants and other stores. It’s unfortunate that so much of the historical city was destroyed by World War II.

heck, I lived there for a long time. Made Abi there. And did other things.

I’m flying to Köln tomorrow and it’ll be the first time I see the city.
Any ideas what’s best to do in Köln???

It was middle of the night, so I am not sure that I actually get right impression of the city :D But the Dom was pretty and midnight picnic there was really enjoyable too :D

Being in Köln for New Years was insane. There are no city-sponsored fireworks, so everyone just fires off their own… from anywhere, including the middle of the streets. It’s chaos, but it was an awesome experience I’ll never forget. Köln is a great city.

Ich bin da! Chatedral is really impressive. Tommorow I´m going there again. Weather is very cold and sunny, they say it will be warmer later.
We had hectic weekend and rested next 2 days. Now we are ready to enjoy!

Owing to the fact that I cannot resist at $158+tax RT fare from the West Coast, I am headed to Koln next month!!!! I am taking suggestions and ideas for things to do for a long weekend!

First of all, I want to arrive there from Frankfurt airport.

I expected to spend this 6 weeks expecting, planning and looking forward this trip! God knows why I didn’t. It was a good opportunity to enjoy and have fun. Now there is scary part – travel itself – and then, pure joy and fun!
