I studied at the University of Rouen this summer for 3 weeks. Rouen has alot of history and art. Monet’s Cathedral is awesome and in the summer they show his paintings on it at night.

Stayed here only a little while but the city, adorned with the Gros Horlage and the cathedral are truly beautiful. The flat, watery cider…well, an acquired taste.

Went to an amazing museum by the Hotel Dieu dedicated to Gustave Flaubert – and the medical collections of his father, who was the chief surgeon there. I highly recommend this place.

Jeanne D’arc died in Rouen so there’s a wax museum about her life, and you can also see the exact place where she had her sentence.

my ancestors on my father’s side come from here.

I lived here for a year in 1977.
