Why I want to go to this place

My sister lives here. We were not close the first 20 years of her life, but in the last few years thanks to the wonder of myspace, we chat regularly and are becoming friends. I tell her about my life and she tells me about hers. I would love to surprise her one day by telling her I have a ticket to Australia to visit. I only recently discovered how important family is and would like to show her how much she means to me.

A tip I have about this place

There is a travel pass you can purchase that allows you to catch buses all day on a circular route that takes you to all the tourist destinations. It’s great, because you can hop on or off any time and another bus will be along in 15 minutes. It also allows you a free ferry tour. It’s a great way to see the city.

Sydney's Awesome!

I lived here for 6 months, Sydney is an amazing place to live. Superb weather loads of things to see and do and I’ll definitely plan on going back.

If anyone’s thinking about visiting I’d highly recommend going as it’s likely to be a regret if you don’t, here’s some of my Sydney travel pictures if you’re interested too.

Why I want to go to this place

Sydney is the most populous city in Australia, with a metropolitan area population of approximately 4.12 million. Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales, and is the site of the first European colony in Australia, established in 1788 at Sydney Cove by Arthur Phillip, leader of the First Fleet from Britain. A resident of the city is referred to as a Sydneysider.
Sydney is located on Australia’s south-east coast. The city is built around Port Jackson, which includes Sydney Harbour, leading to the city’s nickname, “the Harbour City”. It is Australia’s largest financial centre and is home to the Australian Securities Exchange. Sydney’s leading economic sectors include property and business services, manufacturing, tourism, media, health and community services.
Sydney is a major international tourist destination notable for its beaches and twin landmarks: the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks, and contains many bays, rivers and inlets. It has been recognised as a beta world city by the Loughborough University group’s 1999 inventory. The city has played host to numerous international sporting, political and cultural events, including the 1938 British Empire Games, 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2003 Rugby World Cup. In September 2007, the city hosted the leaders of the 21 APEC economies for APEC Australia 2007, and in July 2008 will host World Youth Day 2008.
Sydney is one of the most multicultural cities in the world which reflects its role as a major destination for immigrants to Australia. According to the Mercer cost of living survey, Sydney is Australia’s most expensive city, and the 21st most expensive in the world.

Why I want to go to this place

Sydney is the biggest city in Australia and it’s considered one of the top cities of the world. Its climate is temperated and Sydney has a wide variety of cultural sites and institutions like the famous opera house or the attractive Harbour Bridge. Every year there are many tourists and these can be using great transports, like the train called “millenium”. The people who went there said that this city is very organized, but a little beat expensive. In fact, Sydney is the best destination for tourism according to the magazine Travel + Leisure. We could say also that the sport is part of their culture, there are many open spaces and the most popular sports are rugby and basketball.
