Lived here for a few years. Here are a few things I loved about the town/city:

My bestest friend, Laura Lou, lives in Oly and I am missing her terribly. I can’t wait to see her. Hopefully this year.

I think you need to grow up in Olympia to love it. I found the weather and homogeny depressing.

Boring. Felt just like Salem, and reminded me of why I left. Blah.

It was a cool town, there is an awesome triftstore in town and a place to eat punk pizza, and lots more.

I will surely go back there soon enough.

I’ve lived in the outskirts of Olympia [more towards Yelm] for the past five years now. I really feel that Olympia is too small and slow-paced to offer anything to anyone. There’s not much to do and the weather is usually pretty mild. It just doesn’t scream excitement to me. But if you’re looking for somewhere to relax, I’m sure it’s alright.

I plan on moving out to New York the moment I get a chance!

it’s pretty cool now that i don’t live there anymore.. haha
my family is still there though :(

so beautiful. the people there were awesome! i met so many people and stayed on many couches. theres an awesome mural of marvel comics characters on the side of old school pizza (off 4th st… im pictured with wolverine) and mt. rainer is so pretty. i worked doing geoduck farming for extra money and had a blast. i definately will go again!

what I saw of it it was a nice town. but don’t listen to me I was only there for an hour.

I was born in Olympia and although I haven’t lived there since I was 9 (13 years ago) I still love going back there. Extremely kind people who never seem to have a bad day. I don’t understand how everyone is so chill when there is so much coffee drinking going on.
