I live here, and also love it, it has a little bit of everything, naturelovers, cosmopolitans, rockers, anything, just pick, like the weather, definetly recommend it!!!

I went there when I was 16 with my best friend whose family is from there. In Monterrey you get a real sense of the haves and the have nots. There are wonderful places to go to in Mont. all very different then the rest of mexico not very touristy with americans but seemed liked a lot of corporations were out there for conventions, american and mexican alike. The falls are really cool, it is a nice switch from the oppressive heat to go to the falls because they are cool and the mist is supposed to have natural thermal properties? Also they have the best taco stands, you buy a bag of 20 mini tacos to share with friends. watch out for the flying cockroaches, aye.

it gets hot sometimes

Moneterrey 2004, 2005, 2006. Ay, les extrano mis hermanos de Monterrey. For the past three summers I have traveled to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon to work on completing the church in Alianza, which will be the home of the congregation of Saul, mi hermano en Cristo y mi amigo del corazon y el espiritu. For these three summer trips I have lived with the beautiful people of the barrio de Vidrios y Cristales. Monterrey truly contains a part of my beating heart. Les amo hermanos.

Went to a Tigres game!!! AMAZING!!! Also, I miss the Joya.

If you’re trapped in Mexico for awhile a trip here
is a great deal like Phoenix and San Antonio.
It has become so American-ized you won’t have
trouble finding any franchises you are homesick for.

Tip: Toll highways are totally worth it.

Don’t go here looking for Mexico. You will
end up leaving with more of a South Texas experience
instead. Best to do that when you want to escape
the Spring Break hoo-hah at South Padre Island.
