Milano aka: Milan

i loved it there, even though it was less than 24 hours!

Best bits about Milan: The Last Supper (boko ahead). This gorgeous little church full of frescoes and, of course, the Duomo. When I was in Milan there was a concert in the Duomo with medieval music. Wonderful.

The last time I went to Milan I was a student going back home after a five months exchange program. I used to go to Milan to have lunch and just spend a few hours walking, shopping and having fun. I still miss the city.

Worth visiting just to see the stunning Duomo

Historic.

I live in Lombardia so I know Milan and the lakes area pretty well.
Apart from fashion, in Italy Milan is’nt considered much of a tourist area, maybe because it’s Italy’s business centre.
But the city is beautiful, full of great monuments (the Cathedral, Castello Sforzesco, Teatro alla Scala, Santa Maria delle Grazie for example), museums and beautiful parks. Really worth visiting :)
The lakes too are beautiful, each of them has its own ‘personality’... Garda, so wide that it seems more similar to the sea than a lake, Como and Maggiore, so full of romantic views and villas, and of course Switzerland is near too :)
And then there are the mountains, near enough to organize a hike, and wide plains and hills to explore on horseback :)

Milan, a religious city

In this text you will know what the population of Milan has to do with the cathedrals in addition to how much they are influenced by religion and a little bit about the cathedrals themselves. I believe that the people are very influenced by religion.
In Milan, the population doesn’t have this idea of being very religious, but they are, more than normally. In Milan, there are 3 very important cathedrals, but the other 4 cathedral are the most used by the population. Milan is a city that has everything, such as two of the best teams in the whole world, one ‘’f1’’ track, the fashion style, etc… therefore people know Milan by these things and the cathedrals. And it attracts tourism to the city and the country.
Milan is a city that attracts all types of tourists for many reasons. For example: Soccer, cars, fashion style, cathedrals. So the cathedrals call the attention every where in the world.
