Santiago Metropolitan Region

When I arrived in Santiago I was taken back by all the rioting and the smog. Even thou I live in a big city and smog isnt any new concept but the rioting was new. I went to downtown on the subway and end up walking up the stairs to become overwhelmed with teargas. I still think the whole trip and experince was worth it because I meet a great guy and had the best last days there with him. I plan to go back in November

I recommend this place to visitors not because of the city itself. For me it hadnt a lot to offer. But once youre here youre given the opportunity to enjoy some really nice trips to the surrounding areas like viña, valpo the andes and the areas north and south of santiago.

Avoid going out at night alone, always in company and around the north-eastern suburbs, santiago oriente as its called, its the only decent area of the whole city

its fun.

there were tanks on the street when i flew in so didnt see much but what i saw was enough to make sure i will return some day.

A cidade de Santiago é uma das capitais mais seguras da América Latina. É possível caminhar à noite com tranquilidade. Vale a pena conhecer. Pessoalmente, só não gostei do aspecto gastronômico, mas é uma linda cidade com muitas atrações turísticas.
