Kathmandu

...in Kathmandu!

I hope, some day, I will live there…

I lived in Kathmandu about 10 years ago. On the first day I arrived, I decided to go for a bike ride. I rode all around the ring road. Not very scenic and very polluted. Very interesting, but pretty chaotic place. I enjoyed my trips out of Kathmandu, but some of the travel was a bit jarring.

Kathmandu was amazing. While the population density was hard to get used to at first for me, it was the single coolest place I’ve been to. The Nepali people are very accomodating.

I was there meeting with TV executives – a very interesting place.

Great country, has a real mystique to it but beware those who are scared by rebels,cliffs, dangerous driving and packed cities. If you are willing to dive into it, this place will give you everything you want and more….

Lived there for five month in 97.

This would be a place worth living. Had a great “elephant safari” at a local national reserve. Looked for tigers but didn’t see any… but honestly after seeing a paw print I was glad.
