Love .. everything about it.. my wallet and mobile was stolen at chatucak.. but it wont dapen my affection to Bangkok and its people.. will come back

Bangkok might be the best city in Asia. I’ve been there dozens of times, and never tire of it. I’d like to live there at some point. It has some of just about everything.

If you’re just traveling, do take the opportunity to get away from grubby Khao San Road, though—the Banglamphu area has much nicer bits, including Th. Phra Athit and the areas adjacent to Wat Bowon.

Some things I like there include: Riverboats! Canals! Thonburi! Wat Pho! Wat Arun! Shopping! Chatuchak! Suan Lum! And so much more!

So much fun. Good food, good shopping, lots to do. I can’t wait to go back.

Massage! Massage! Massage! I used to pay $100 for an hour massage in Seoul or in NYC, now I pay only $12 for TWO HOURS! Great value for money, that’s what BKK is all about!

I had the time of my life in Bangkok! If you go, you must visit Wat Po, and have a thai massage there. The Grand Palace is beautiful. Tuk tuk rides are fun, but you’re taking your life in your hands in one of those things. Tuktuks, I hear are not as common as they once were, but we had a great time racing around the city in them. We took a boat ride to the wet market and just raced down the Chao Praya river. More fun than any Disney ride you can imagine. The people were friendly, and those who were learning English were anxious to practice on us. I highly recommend a stop in Bangkok for anyone taking in a tour of Southeast Asia. The city is nonstop fun.

Great city, especially if you love bargain shopping and luxurious spa treatments on the cheap! Worth taking a visit to some of the pretty amazing temples around the city as well. Overall, a great city with friendly people!

As I’ve only just got here – lots of bartering seems fairly cheap generally, weather is hot, humid and the air is dirty, lots of cars driving round like nutters.

Bangkok was just a small stopover in our world trip. We managed 6 days there. We were supposed to be in Thailand for about a month but changed plans after the Tsunami hit ( glad we did). Its a fantastically friendly and enjoyable and especially inexpensive place. We probably rocked up at the worse time possible, but it still amazed us. Will be one of the places we return to, once our kid/s are a bit older.
