New Delhi

I went to India with my friend Kas and her mother in preparation for her wedding. It was a fantastic trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I took a day trip to Agra on my own as they had “been there, done that”, and we took the train up to Chandigarh for a couple of days, but for the most part we were in Delhi. I was renamed “Lakshmi” because I wouldn’t haggle and because I kept giving to the beggars.

It is an amazing place to visit, and I heartily recommend it to all. Next time I want to go south and explore Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai. Oh and definitely Goa. Man, that is going to have to be a long trip!

nice place.. capital of India. earlier the traffic situation was pretty bad but it has improved significantly after the metro project.

My tickets are actually already purchased: I will be visiting my sister in Delhi in February.

I liked the city very much during my stay at New Delhi for a longer period.

There are lot of places to visit and roam around like Janpath, Connaught Place etc.

People are friendly.

Scary at first but good

Haggling is tiresome, but it is different…

I went to connaught place, qutb minar, red fort, india gate, dili gat market, etc. Basically, great food, great people!

Try to make local friends, this palce has so many things in it that no one could see it in days, just grab some local students who are on a trip and it will be your best trip.

the first city i visited in india. traffic is terrible but its a great place to experience diversity – it’s like an immersion…. people are nice. go to janpath as well as to the old side of delhi….
