my boyfriend’s working on a project in lithuania for a year and he asked me to visit him. more adventures, jamjam!

I lived in Vilnius for 5 years and my kids grew up here. We think of it like home.

Great place to just wander around, eat yummy food, and watch the world go by…

The featured photo I see here is of the Black Madonna. This is a very important icon, mostly to Polish catholics. It’s displayed inside, at the end of a small street in the old historic part of Vilnius. On certain occasions (in June, when we were there), there were several days of religious observances centred around the icon, with services in the street itself. Apparently lots of people do a pilgrimage here to see her.

I love Vilnius

Pretty, quiet, and quaint. I liked the beautiful churches and friendly people
