A Break from the City

As great as NYC is, sometimes you just need to get out to taste fresh air.

How this place changed my life

I lived in Vermont from age 1 to age 7. I truly believe that this is the sole reason I am still innocent.

A quick stop....

We really only stopped for cheap gas and to say that we had been there, but in 15 minutes, we managed to find the first ICBM site this side of the Mississippi, and meet some very nice people at the visitor’s center! They even had indoor plumbing, something that they used as a main attraction!

How this place changed my life

Where do I began? I moved to Vermont three years ago with my husband and three kids. After, an endless job search for me, a near fatal family car accident, discovering my husband’s aspergers syndrome, having a 4th baby, losing two jobs between us, meeting the most incredible people (giving, loving, completely open and fair), finding a dream job, visiting every corner of the state and discovering myself along the way, I’d have to say Vermont is a very special and dear place to me! If you visit, you must see: the Fall foliage, the Northeast Kingdom, Stowe, Lake Champlain and walk the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington. Church Street offers a special kind of pedestrian-only day and nightlife. Stop in to City Hall on the corner of Church and Main Streets to say “hi” to the CAO and the Mayor (my friends!)

I love VT!!

Especially for the foliage in the fall – starting during the first week of October.

The camping is great. The hiking is great. The snowboarding is great. It’s a great place for outdoors enthusiasts.

Very liberal.

Very pretty.
