South Carolina aka: SC

I’ve lived in South Carolina the majority of my life… moved here when I was about 4 or 5, I am now 22, and I’m DYING to get away… I’ve lived in two of the “big” cities here, and I definitely have fun here, but it’s nothing compared to the other major cities and states of the world. My family is from New York so i travel there frequently and there is a VERY apparent difference. This is pretty much a retirement state, and the people for the most part are friendly. That’s the main attraction, but other than that… This is no place for a 22 year old. lol

Just passed through on a road trip and stopped off at Myrtle Beach.

Yes, it is cheap to do anything here.
The only problem is that it is so stereotypically Southern that anyone with an ounce of progressive thought will find it hard to even walk down the streets here.
The only city to even remotely consider visiting here would be Charleston.

I am in SC now. I’m nearby Myrtle Beach.

My husband and I went to Charleston for our 4th anniversary. We decided not to spend our money on staying in an expensive hotel, but instead spent it on the “attractions”. We went on a wonderful carriage tour, took a walking tour about the “dark side” of Charleston, and had sevral romantic dinners. We loved it there. So much so, that we have seriously talked about moving there. This is a wonderful place, but is not for the luxury seekers. You can stay in a five star hotel, but you can’t really enjoy or appreciate Charleston without wandering up and down it’s streets.

Tjis place is cool i go there evry summr. Like i said i like, but the thing is the hav watrugs evry where u can go to the cleanest mansion there butits gonna hav roaches or watr bugs it will hav roaches for a fact even if u dont c them. so bring bugspray if u go therelol.

I hate the south. Hate.

I actually liked boot camp, so it was good.

One of the best cities in America! I should know, I’ve been to most of the big cities (and the medium and small ones) in the U.S. It’s clean, it’s got plenty of restaurants and shopping, plenty of places to live, the best downtown park ever, it’s not too big and not too small.
